I Care about…

I care about the basic needs of a human being to care for themselves, and their family.  Sure it’s a nice thing to say and can be flippantly said or easily received and brushed off with a but…  There is no but.  The law should mandate food that nourishes the body, sustains and builds our mind, and grows our boys up to be men, and our girls up to be women.  Both, to be the best they can be, and not to be diminished in any way due to the falsity our food currently brings.

I think about the big tobacco companies that used their legal responses like this;

  1. Tobacco was not harmful to smokers.
  2. Nicotine is not addictive
  3. Nicotine is addictive but it is not the responsibility of the manufacturer
  4. Smokers’ cancer was caused by other factors.
  5. Smokers assumed the risk of cancer when they decided to smoke
  6. They will discontinue advertising to children
  7. Fund organizations or increase the advertisement on negative impact of smoking

There will need to be a similar approach to the food we all eat, and the enticing presentation of the colorful, sugar, fructose and preservative ridden nutrition lacking “foods” that glow into the eyes of our children.  If parenting wasn’t already hard enough, as I recall many of the grocery isle moments and how many times I said no.  Although, I do have to say my boy are pretty good. And they are interested in the now in the ingredients and the sugar content.

When I hear about the press and the President, and all of the distractions and double standards from one President to the next, it is clear that Satan us using these rating hyped items to cloud our focus on what is truly important.   Even when former President Barak Obama, was president, and the issues were not ones I agreed with, I spoke with others, disagreed, agreed, argued… but at the end of the day, I did nothing to disrupt what he was doing.  If you disrupt, do your research, truly care for others, and be humble enough to admit or at least understand you can or have been wrong.  We all have been.

It is very unfortunate that America has developed into a country where the cost of making many things, including our food, wages a battle against paying for its availability to us, and paying the people to provide it.  So have made fake food that contains “flavors”, “contains” and “real” something that is mostly fillers and little natural food.  So that the production process spreads the good food so thin, it is scarce and overwhelmed by the unnatural, that we are slowly, over years and decades, diminished human beings.

I care about the real, the natural and good that hard work and feeling that these bring to me, when the work is done and the fruit of my labors are consumed or of a benefit to others.  Regardless of whether it is food or something I built… or anything I could do for another in need.

Raised on a 20 acre farm with all the animals in rural Indiana. I picked up rocks out of farm field before planting season, cooked in a pancake house for a couple years, worked in a factory, joined the Navy, back to the factory then College. I took for granted the simple natural (and unnatural) foods we grew that we raised, and the snacks and cereals we bought. I had a hard working mother I love, even now that she is gone, and a there but not there father. It went by so fast. I sincerely believe we can reintroduce the local farms that sustain and bring together communities. I am looking for sincere individuals to assist me with pursuing my passion to bring a business model to community, prove concept and make it work. Then reeducate the generations.
